Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Spokane). They took down the Central Valley Bears 80-61 on Tuesday. The Wildcats pushed the score to 66-41 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Mt. Spokane has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.6 points per game. As for Central Valley, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-7.

Mt. Spokane and Central Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Mt. Spokane (ranked 40th) will meet Cheney (ranked 206th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Central Valley will take on University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 119 places (89 vs. 208).
