It was truly a group effort as Laona Nick, Dunne Christopher, and Fuentes Matthew picked up one apiece. Christopher has become a key player for St. Joseph-by-the-Sea: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one interception, but 3-4 otherwise. Another thorn in Fordham Prep's side was D'Orazio Dominick, who made 11 total tackles and defended two passes.
Meanwhile, Xavier didn't have too much trouble with St. Peter's on Saturday as they won 30-13. The Knights have beaten the Eagles the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.
St. Joseph-by-the-Sea better keep an eye on Peter Heaney. He was instrumental in Xavier's win, rushing for 168 yards and four scores. What's more, Heaney racked up 133.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August.
