Heritage Christian Academy lost against The Habersham School in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-37 score last time.
The Habersham School found their leader in underclassman Myla Shippy, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Shippy has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Livingood, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Heritage Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for The Habersham School, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.
Heritage Christian Academy will face off against Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Heritage Christian Academy in Georgia (Trinity Christian is ranked 250th, while Heritage Christian Academy is ranked 521st). As for The Habersham School, they will be playing at home against Faith Baptist Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Baptist Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so The Habersham School's offense will have their work cut out for them.
