After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cibola, the Mountain View Toros were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 45-39 victory over Skyline. That's another feather in the cap for Mountain View, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Mountain View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Fischbeck out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Fischbeck hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Roxy Del Bianco was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Skyline's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordan Seiuli, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and four steals, and Isabella Schneider who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Seiuli is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played.
Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Skyline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
Mountain View will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dobson at 7:00 p.m. As for Skyline, they will head out on the road to square off against Browne at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Browne is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
