If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Everett. On Friday they take on Lawrence at 7:00 PM. Everett are coming into the matchup hot, having won three in a row.
Everett faced St. John's Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everett walked away with a 26-14 win over St. John's Prep. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (20) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, Lawrence suffered a grim 14-38 defeat to Andover last Friday. Lawrence were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-28.
Everett's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Lawrence's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Everett can add another positive mark to their record or if Lawrence can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Everett's step.
