There's no place like home for the Rampart Rams, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 57-50 victory over Palmer Ridge on Tuesday. For Rampart, this counts as revenge for the 57-49 loss Palmer Ridge walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Rampart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haydn Benoit, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The matchup was Benoit's third in a row with at least ten points. Wyatt Kirch was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Palmer Ridge lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Kraft. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kraft set a new season high mark in steals with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Boyer, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Palmer Ridge were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory got Rampart back to even at 2-2. As for Palmer Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Rampart won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Canon City at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Canon City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Rampart is ranked 105th). As for Palmer Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Falcon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
