Macdonald also put up a  hit, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Cairo Teheen, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
Ipswich's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Newburyport, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ipswich will head out to  challenge Winthrop  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Newburyport, they are taking a road trip to  square off against Danvers  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
