Harvest Prep is 10-0 against the Bishops since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Harvest Prep Warriors will be playing at home against the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Harvest Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Harvest Prep ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Dublin Jerome by a score of 64-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Harvest Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adonus Abrams, who scored 17 points along with six steals. Abrams hasn't dropped below three steals for nine straight games. Ephraim Campbell was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 40 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 77-69 win over Miller. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Grady Labishak was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bishop Rosecrans' points. Another player making a difference was Xander Daniels, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Harvest Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Harvest Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bishops in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, sneaking past 68-65. Does Harvest Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bishops turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
