The Pekin Panthers won the last time they faced the Wapello Indians, and things went their way on Tuesday, too. The Panthers made easy work of Wapello and carried off a 63-41 win. Sixty-three seems to be a good number for Pekin as the squad scooped up a victory with the same point total in their game this week.
The victory makes it two in a row for Pekin and bumps their record up to 16-4. The defeat dropped Wapello's record to 8-10.
Pekin has the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome Holy Trinity Catholic next week. Holy Trinity Catholic took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Pekin's good fortune. The Indians are staying on the road on Friday to face off against Keota. The odds don't look promising for Wapello, but the bigger the opponent is, the harder they fall.
