The Grand Meadow Superlarks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 80-26 defeat at the hands of Kingsland. While losing is never fun, Grand Meadow can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Knights are ranked 151st).
Kingsland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Brink, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Brink hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Erdman, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Grand Meadow dropped their record down to 1-20 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Kingsland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Grand Meadow won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on February 6th. Rushford-Peterson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,797 points over their last 23 contests. As for Kingsland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burros at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
