Pinecrest is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Richmond is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Patriots will welcome the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Pinecrest 3.7, Richmond 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Pinecrest had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Southern Lee on Tuesday. The Patriots were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Cavaliers.

Bohdi Robertson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Pinecrest got a big performance out of Will Chopping, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. JC Woolard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Pinecrest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Lee only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Richmond narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Lee County 4-2. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Evan Hodges was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double.
Pinecrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Richmond, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Pinecrest has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Richmond struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
