The Parkview Baptist Eagles will head out to take on Madison Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parkview Baptist will be strutting in after a victory while Madison Prep Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Parkview Baptist is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Port Allen on Tuesday as Parkview Baptist made off with a 22-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Jalayah Slaughter made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Parkview Baptist got a massive performance out of Lily Hammonds, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Hammonds a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Addie Young, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Parkview Baptist kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Port Allen didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 25 runs the game before, Madison Prep Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against University Lab, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for Madison Prep Academy in their meetings with University Lab: they've now lost six in a row.
Madison Prep Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyndal Robertson, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Robertson's first of the season.
Parkview Baptist's record now sits at 5-7. As for Madison Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
Everything went Parkview Baptist's way against Madison Prep Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Parkview Baptist made off with a 14-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkview Baptist since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
