Volleyball Recap: Marina Wins Going Away Against La Serna

While Marina didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the La Serna Lancers on Tuesday as the Marina Vikings made off with a 3-0 win. The match marked the Vikings' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Marina walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Marina has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for La Serna and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Marina is taking a road trip to take on Corona del Mar at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for La Serna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Anthony at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
