Ilwaco is 8-2 against Chief Leschi since November of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ilwaco Fishermen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chief Leschi Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Ilwaco put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Ocosta with a sharp 70-47 victory. Given Ilwaco's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Ocosta is ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Chief Leschi didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Muckleshoot Tribal on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.
Ilwaco's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Chief Leschi, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
