The Lone Peak Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Bingham Miners at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Knights fans will have to keep waiting for their squad to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Weber on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Grady Slesk was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.
In other batting news, Andrew Ladd was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Bowen Barnes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Lone Peak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Weber only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, on Thursday Bingham's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Skyridge 6-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Boston Snyder tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Bauer Williams and Blake Shafer did most of the damage at the plate: Williams scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Shafer scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Beck, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Lone Peak was able to grind out a solid victory over Bingham when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lone Peak since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
