The Grady Bronchos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat San Jon 76-16 at home. Grady has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.
Despite the defeat, San Jon saw an underclassman step up: Truitt Sallee scored 14 points along with two steals. That was a full 87.5% of San Jon's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Grady back to even at 8-8. As for San Jon, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grady will take on Floyd at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Floyd is coming into the match with five straight losses on the road, meaning Grady will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for San Jon, they will be playing at home against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. San Jon comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
