King's Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Heathwood Hall Episcopal, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions put the hurt on the Highlanders with a sharp 12-6 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Lions have won four games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lucas Fields was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cole Turner, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-2-1. As for Heathwood Hall Episcopal, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

King's Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Highlanders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
