The Parkside Rams lost against the Decatur Seahawks back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Parkside took a serious blow against Decatur, falling 50-14. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Parkside in their matchups with Decatur: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Parkside still got an impressive performance from Canaan Mapp, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns.
Brycen Coleman was his usual excellent self, throwing for 265 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Decatur also got help from Gavin Solito who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.
Parkside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Decatur, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Parkside will head out on the road to face off against Kent Island at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Decatur, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Easton at 6:00 p.m. Easton is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
