After flying high against the Mount Olive Pirates on Thursday, the Crystal Springs Tigers came back down to earth. Crystal Springs took a 30-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hazlehurst. Crystal Springs was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hazlehurst apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Hazlehurst got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Tanner out in front who scored 10 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Tanner has scored at least 25% of Hazlehurst's points. Nadiyah Nelson was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Crystal Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hazlehurst, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Crystal Springs will play host again and welcome Morton, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morton will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Hazlehurst will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Wilkinson County at 4:00 p.m. on December 8th. Wilkinson County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
