The biggest upset of the week belonged to Riverview East Academy, who took down 682nd ranked Oyler, 30-27. Marquez Whitfield threw for 48 yards and one touchdown and ran for 81 yards in the win.
Gamble Montessori extended the longest winning streak in Ohio Valley Athletic this week by beating Miami Valley Christian Academy, 8-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Riverview East Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anaiah Freeman helped Riverview East Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 14 yards.
Terrence Gholston was the best wideout in the league this week as Britt T. Smith's team bested the MAD Hatters. Gholston tallied three receptions for 32 yards.
Whitfield has thrown for 187 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Gholston has seven catches for 79 yards. Whitfield also leads the league in rushing with 530 yards.
A big matchup in Ohio Valley Athletic this week will be when Oyler takes on Miami Valley Christian Academy. As it stands, Thomas Blair's team is in fourth, while Miami Valley Christian Academy is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the MAD Hatters take on Miami Valley Christian Academy. Oyler has allowed 117 points this season, while Miami Valley Christian Academy has given up 70. The MAD Hatters allowed 30 points last week as they fell to Riverview East Academy.
Stan West's team and Miami Valley Christian Academy played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Stan West's team eventually emerging with a 8-6 victory.
