It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with a 61-52 win over Christ's Church Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Trinity Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Trinity Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Moricette, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. Cameron Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals.
Jackson Hadden and Conner Whitaker certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Hadden dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Whitaker scored 14 points. Hadden is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played.
Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Christ's Church Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mandarin at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Mandarin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 717 points over their last ten contests. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will head out on the road to take on St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
