Cody Williams and Troy Morrow provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Chicopee. The longest such play in AA this season, the connection resulted in 64 yards.
Northampton/Smith Vo-Tech moved up to 86 from 142 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 17-12 win over Wahconah Regional helped the Blue Devils improve their standing.
Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Williams threw for 207 and three touchdowns and Juwan Williams had 92 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Owens chipped in 89 yards. Morrow helped Central's passing attack out by catching one ball for 64 yards.
Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Williams has thrown for 692 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Travis Cusson has 15 catches for 271 yards. Owens leads the league in rushing with 298 yards.
Northampton/Smith Vo-Tech extended the longest winning streak in AA this week by beating the Warriors, 17-12. The win marks fourth in a row for the Ken O'Brien's team.
