Elyria Christian put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Herington 47-20 on the road.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Goessel's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 68-17 loss at the hands of Little River. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Goessel has scored all season.
Elyria Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Goessel, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Elyria Christian ended up a good deal behind the Bluebirds in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, losing 40-26. Can Elyria Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
