Arcola strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Neoga Indians 9-2. Considering the Purple Riders have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tanner Thomas made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Henson-Stice, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Drake, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
