Castleberry is 2-8 against the Bullfrogs since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Castleberry Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at 6:15 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses for Castleberry and four for the Bullfrogs.
Last Tuesday, Castleberry was beaten by the Eagles 78-2. While losing is never fun, Castleberry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1310th, while the Eagles are ranked 61st).
Meanwhile, Lake Worth took a serious blow against the Bulls on Tuesday, falling 52-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Worth has scored all season.
Castleberry has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 18 of their last 20 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-22 record this season. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-19.
Castleberry might still be hurting after the 44-21 loss they got from the Bullfrogs when the teams last played back in January. Can Castleberry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
