The Plainfield East Bengals made easy work of the Gary Roosevelt Panthers on Saturday and carried off a 72-43 victory. That 29-point margin sets a new team best for Plainfield on the season.
The win makes it two in a row for the Bengals and bumps their record up to 8-20. Gary Roosevelt's loss pushed them down to 2-13.
Plainfield will square off against Romeoville Friday. Romeoville took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Plainfield East's good fortune. As for the Panthers, they will face off against Gary West Side on Tuesday. Gary Roosevelt is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.
