After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern Tech, Hereford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Kenwood Bluebirds 10-2. Considering the Bulls have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Hayley Dyer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, Lauren Clement was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Hereford lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
