Volleyball Game Preview: Hellgate Knights vs. Butte Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Hellgate Knights will head out to square off against the Butte Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hellgate will be strutting in after a win while Butte will be coming in after a loss.

Hellgate took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Big Sky by a score of 3-1.

Hellgate walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 23-25, 25-20.

Hellgate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Margaret Bodnar led the charge by getting 13 digs. That's the most digs Bodnar has posted over her last six matches. Myah Jenkins also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Butte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Sentinel, falling 3-0.

While Butte ultimately came up short, they really made Sentinel work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-12, 25-16.

Butte's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Hellgate, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10.

Everything went Hellgate's way against Butte in their previous matchup back in September, as Hellgate made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
