If The Culver Academies Eagles were riding high off their 46-13 takedown of the Highland Trojans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Culver Academies was beaten by New Prairie 43-14 on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Culver Academies in their matchups with New Prairie: they've now lost four in a row.
Although Culver Academies took the loss, they still got scores from Kyle Eggebraten and Aidan Cartmel.
New Prairie was led to victory by Reed Robinson and Marshall Kmiecik. Robinson rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while Kmiecik rushed for 236 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Kmiecik was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 62 yards.
Culver Academies' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for New Prairie, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Culver Academies does not have any more games scheduled as of now. New Prairie will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against NorthWood at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. NorthWood is on a three-game streak of home wins, New Prairie a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
