The Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks will face off against the Novato Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Tamalpais took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Terra Linda get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. Considering the Red Tailed Hawks have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Eden Clark was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Tamalpais got a massive performance out of Ava Lee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Melissa Ferrety was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Novato never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Healdsburg on Friday. They blew past the Greyhounds 15-2. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.
Like Tamalpais, Novato also got a great game from a two-way player: Isabelle Rykov. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rykov was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Georgiana Castro was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Jacinda Wright, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Novato kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Tamalpais pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Novato, their win bumped their record up to 5-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tamalpais has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Novato struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Tamalpais' way against Novato in their previous meeting back in March, as Tamalpais made off with a 7-0 victory. Will the Red Tailed Hawks repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
