The Franklin Christian Academy Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Providence Christian Academy LIONS at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Wednesday, Franklin Christian Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Spring Hill and fell 3-2.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Franklin Christian Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13.
Despite the defeat, Franklin Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tatum Beathard had 15 digs and five assists.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Providence Christian Academy took on Franklin Road Academy on Thursday. The LIONS lost 3-0 to the Panthers. The LIONS have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Providence Christian Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-24, 25-19.
Franklin Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Providence Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Franklin Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Providence Christian Academy in their previous meeting last Thursday. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
