Even though the Clay Eagles have not done well against the Ross Little Giants recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Clay came out on top against Ross by a score of 50-43. This was payback for Clay, who suffered a 66-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Several Little Giants players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makai Lee, who scored ten points along with three steals. Michael Stover was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The win got Clay back to even at 5-5. As for Ross, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clay will take on Bowling Green at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ross, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Southview at 7:15 p.m. Southview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ross in Ohio (Southview is ranked 89th, while Ross is ranked 329th).
