Heartland Christian is 0-4 against Weskan since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Heartland Christian Crusaders will be playing at home against the Weskan Coyotes at 5:00 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Heartland Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They suffered a rough 52-26 loss at the hands of Triplains/Brewster. Heartland Christian has struggled against Triplains/Brewster recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Weskan struggled with assists on Friday (Northern Valley had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Weskan took a hard 68-53 fall against Northern Valley. While losing is never fun, Weskan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Northern Valley is ranked 45th).
Despite the loss, Weskan got a solid performance out of Trey Allen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Allen is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Aldridge, who scored 11 points.
Heartland Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-1. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.7 points per game. As for Weskan, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Heartland Christian was taken down by Weskan 68-34 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Heartland Christian was down 38-15.
