Cypress Bay came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as they made off with a 7-1 victory.
Gabriel Tovar tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on John Escobar, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
