The Carolina Day Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carolina Day will be strutting in after a win while Blue Ridge Early College will be coming in after a defeat.
On Wednesday, Carolina Day really took it to Spartanburg Day for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-15 victory at home. The team accrued 37 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Carolina Day had a senior duo take command as Lily Everette dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds and Taylor Williams dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Everette has scored at least 25% of Carolina Day's points.
Meanwhile, Blue Ridge Early College's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 57-14 defeat at the hands of Rosman. Blue Ridge Early College has struggled against Rosman recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Brooklyn Kenney was Blue Ridge Early College's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Kenney also led the team in rebounds with eight.
The victory got Carolina Day back to even at 1-1. As for Blue Ridge Early College, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
