The All Saints' Academy Saints will be playing at home against the Excel Christian Academy Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
All Saints' Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to Frostproof at home by a decisive 66-49 margin on Tuesday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jaelen Randall, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ali Ebrahim, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Excel Christian Academy entered their tilt with Avon Park with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Excel Christian Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Avon Park 84-52 on the road. Excel Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 32 points or more this season.
All Saints' Academy's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Excel Christian Academy, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
All Saints' Academy came up short against Excel Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 61-50. Can All Saints' Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
