Cottonwood Classical Prep's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaedon Petties, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 10 rebounds, and Bo Lobaina who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Petties scored a full 52.2% of Cottonwood Classical Prep's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cottonwood Classical Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Thoreau, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cottonwood Classical Prep will take on Pecos at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thoreau, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bosque at 3:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Bosque is ranked ninth, while Thoreau is ranked 16th).
