It was another big night for Sullivan Reed, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 170 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes. 86 of Reed's passing yards were hauled in by Jackson Whitcomb.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mize, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Newton County on Friday, sneaking past 23-20.
Mize didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jamiyon Gray and Eli Brown. Gray also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12.
Lamar's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mize, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
