Marion was the victim of a tough 52-31 loss at the hands of Non Varsity Tournament Opponent. That's two games in a row now that Marion has lost by exactly 21 points.
Breelon Allen and Brianna Hunter certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Allen scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Hunter scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Hunter's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
This is the second loss in a row for Marion and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they pushed their record up to 8-19 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Marion will take on Falls City at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Falls City is ranked 745th, while Marion is ranked 732nd). As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, they will square off against Waxahachie at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
