In what's become a running theme this season, Saint Andrew's gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past David Posnack Jewish Day, posting a 48-19 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Saint Andrew's has posted since November 29, 2023.
Emma Smith and Delaney Beighley were among the main playmakers for Saint Andrew's as the former scored 13 points along with nine steals and the latter scored 23 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Beighley has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna Smith, who scored four points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to Pine Crest. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calvary Christian Academy in their matchups with Pine Crest: they've now lost three in a row.
Saint Andrew's has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Saint Andrew's against Calvary Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-30 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saint Andrew's since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
