Southern Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on Restoration Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Southern Academy suffered their closest loss yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Patrician Academy by a score of 31-29.
Despite the defeat, Southern Academy got a solid performance out of Kaitlyn Sluder, who scored nine points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Layken Horton, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Restoration Academy was just a bucket shy of victory back in December of 2023 and fell 31-30 to North River Christian.
Southern Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Restoration Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
