New Plymouth has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Cole Valley Christian Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully New Plymouth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but New Plymouth had to settle for a 48-45 loss against Homedale. That's two games in a row now that New Plymouth has lost by exactly three points.
Despite the loss, New Plymouth saw an underclassman step up: Hope Hailey scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Zavier Lake was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 7 steals.
Meanwhile, Cole Valley Christian waltzed into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 46-28 victory over Nampa Christian.
Fruitland's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while New Plymouth's loss dropped theirs to 2-1.
New Plymouth couldn't quite finish off Cole Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in January and fell 42-39. Can New Plymouth avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
