Liberty has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bakersfield Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Liberty Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Bakersfield Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Liberty will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Liberty's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Independence. Considering the Patriots have won three games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Rebecca Calvin's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lina Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Claire Williams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bakersfield Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They skirted past Bullard 4-2.
Anabell Hinojosa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.
At the plate, Tia Nichols was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Eleni Storm was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Bakersfield Christian's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Liberty beat Bakersfield Christian 5-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bakersfield Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
