There's no place like home for Princeton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Spring Creek Gators on Tuesday as Princeton made off with an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Mary Rachel Uzzell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Uzzell wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Herring, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Princeton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got Princeton back to even at 5-5. As for Spring Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Princeton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Beddingfield on the 27th. As for Spring Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-12 victory against Goldsboro on the 27th.
