There's no place like home for the Lincoln Charter Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Community School of Davidson by a score of 82-74 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Kelan Flowers, who scored 40 points along with six assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. David Reed IV. was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Community School of Davidson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dermot Lowry, who scored 26 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of John Shields, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.
Lincoln Charter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Community School of Davidson, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.
Lincoln Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Langtree Charter has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Community School of Davidson, they will head out on the road to take on the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corvian Community has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 359 points over their last five contests.
