The Lamar Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Meridian HomeSchool 74-30 at home. That looming 74-30 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lamar yet this season.
Lamar found their leader in underclassman Jackson Whitcomb, who scored 22 points along with six assists and five steals. Salone Elliott was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
The victory was the third in a row for Lamar, bringing their record for this year to 11-15. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Meridian HomeSchool, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Lamar will square off against Park Place Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Park Place Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Meridian HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
