Leading Triton to victory were Ja'Niah Smith and Nashara McNeil-Watlington. Smith scored 11 points along with five steals, while McNeil-Watlington scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of A'shari Watlington, who scored 11 points.
Smithfield-Selma's loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Triton, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
