St. Mary's has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, St. Mary's faced Harris-Lake Park in a battle between two of the state's top teams. St. Mary's simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Harris-Lake Park 52-23 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for St. Mary's two-point performance the match before.
Landon Waldschmitt went supernova for St. Mary's, rushing for 100 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 167 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Waldschmitt hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games. Collin Homan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Bishop Garrigan put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 63-6 victory over Janesville at home.
St. Mary's victory was their 23rd straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.43 points. As for Bishop Garrigan, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
