The Riverview Sharks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Armwood. Riverview has not had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Riverview still got an impressive performance from Bryson Kearney, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alexander Mercer-Eriksen, who scored eight points.
Talon Mckinnie was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds for Armwood. Miles Davis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Riverview dropped their record down to 3-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Armwood, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.
Riverview and the Warriors will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Steinbrenner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Armwood, they will take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
