1. Centennial (Boise)
Head coach: Josh Aipperspach
2015-16 record: 21-6

Centennial had a very balanced attack last year with five players averaging at least eight points per game. Centennial will miss Talon Pinckney, an All-State first team pick last year who has graduated, but second team All-State pick Delveion Jackson returns after averaging 10.8 points per game as a junior.

2. Rocky Mountain (Meridian)
Head coach: Dane Roy
2015-16 record: 19-7

Kolby Lee, a 6-foot-9 All-State second team selection as a junior, leads the way for Rocky Mountain. Headed to BYU, Lee led Rocky Mountain to a consolation championship last year while averaging 15 points and nine rebounds per game.

3. Madison (Rexburg)
Head coach: Bill Hawkins
2015-16 record: 22-3 Hawkins returns for his 29th season at Madison and he has a pair of key returners from a team that lost just three times and reached the Class 5A championship game. Jaxon Edelmayer, a 6-3 senior guard, earned second team All-State honors last season and averaged 13 points per game. Nate Webb, the team's second-leading scorer, also returns.

4. Bishop Kelly (Boise)
Head coach: Ryan Kerns
2015-16 record: 16-6

Bishop Kelly had a young team last year, but still managed to reach the Class 4A state championship game. First team All-State forward Max Rice returns for his junior year after averaging 13.3 points per game. Senior point guard Dan Sabala, a second team All-State selection, is also back. He averaged seven points and three assists per game in 2015-16.

5. Preston
Head coach: Tyler Jones
2015-16 record: 22-4

Preston made its first state tournament appearance since 2007 a good one, as it won all three games to claim the Class 4A state championship. Preston loses last year's Player of the Year Austin Smellie to graduation, but Brayden Parker, a 6-6 junior All-State selection, returns after averaging 13.6 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
